Meet Kirsten

Pronounced: Kur-sten.
Not Keer-stin. Not KR-i-sten.

“In my heart, I believe that we can work together to make things better.”

From Meet Kirsten, An American Girl

Borrowing a passage from a pivotal text from my childhood, Meet Kirsten, my work continually reminds me that things are always better when we work together.

When I worked in local news, a single broadcast typically required about 15 people to work together, each contributing their unique skillset and expertise to put on the show. As a government consultant, I learned that no person can create change across a large system without a team. As an emergency manager, I experienced firsthand how communities rebuilt because of how people worked together, even in the worst of circumstances.

My 15-year career serving the public has shaped me into someone who understands that community and connection are vital to not only our teams but to the people we serve. To quote my 6-year-old heroine, Kirsten Larsen, “We are all connected, and together we can make the world a better place.”

With that, I invite you to learn more about my work experience and skills that may support your organization or team. Please request access to my portfolio using the contact form below.
